As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a seasoned Project Executive to lead our major infrastructure initiatives and drive project success from preconstruction through close-out.
Position Overview:
The Project Executive will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale transportation and transit infrastructure projects. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, this leadership role is responsible for ensuring project objectives are met on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in civil construction and a proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary project teams on major rail and transit projects in urban environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of multiple large-scale rail and transit infrastructure projects across NYC.
- Drive collaboration between engineering, operations, and field teams throughout all phases of construction.
- Manage project financials including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and change management.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders, ensuring strong communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
- Oversee risk management, contract administration, and claims mitigation.
- Mentor and develop project managers, engineers, and field staff to build a high-performing team culture.
- Represent the company at executive meetings, bid presentations, and client negotiations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of heavy civil construction experience with a focus on transportation, rail, or transit infrastructure.
- Proven track record of managing $100M projects in dense urban environments.
- Strong knowledge of MTA, Amtrak, or related agency requirements and procedures.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and cost control systems.
- PE license or PMP certification a plus.
