**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a reliable and organized Secretary for our appliance repair business to manage administrative tasks efficiently. This is a part-time position with the option to work from home. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for customers and warranty companies, handle appointment scheduling, and provide general office support. A background in QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Answer phone calls and provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries or redirecting as necessary.
- Schedule and confirm service appointments with customers, ensuring all details are accurately recorded.
- Coordinate with warranty companies to verify coverage and book appointments for service calls.
- Maintain and update customer records, ensuring all information is correct and up to date.
- Process work orders and ensure that technicians receive accurate and timely schedules.
- Assist with managing invoices, payments, and customer billing using QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Perform general office tasks such as filing, handling emails, and responding to inquiries.
- Ensure smooth communication between the office and the field technicians.
- Assist with inventory tracking and ordering supplies as needed.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or administrative certifications a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in a customer service role or administrative support is preferred.
- QuickBooks experience is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively from home.
