Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

This is 70% onsite work, role. Day Shift - 8 AM -5 PM some evening meetings possible

Our Client is a Fortune 350 company that engages in the design, manufacturing, marketing, and service of semiconductor processing equipment.

Required Skills:

• 4-8 years of software industry experience with hands-on Quality experience.
• Experience with web platforms and APIs is required
• Experience with SQA processes and methodologies is required
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are required
• Experience writing and developing test plans/procedures is required
• Familiarity with development and defect tracking tools such as JIRA is required
• Familiarity with Scrum-based teams is required
• Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-geography engineering environment preferred.
• Experience with TDD and/or BDD is a plus.
• Development experience utilizing object-oriented languages to design and implement test automation is a plus.
• Knowledge of various types of virtualization software (VMware, HyperV ) is a plus.
• Experience with Azure DevOps a plus.
• Experience with automation tools TestComplete a plus.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.

Responsibilities:

• Convert requirements into test scenarios and develop test plans.
• Execute and review testing results.
• Enter defects into Jira.
• Lead or participate in testing lessons learned with the intention to provide process improvements to the testing process.
• Design, code, test, and implement automation test suites
• Configure and monitor complex test environments that simulate customer environments
• Use tracing and profiling tools or develop measurement methodologies to analyze performance issues.
• Work with developers to triage issues and identify defect root cause and resolve iteratively.
• Plan and scope the automation test strategy and testing features for the release under test.
• Participate in requirements definition/estimation, design walkthroughs with the purpose of creating test scripts supporting required business needs.
• Participate in team related meetings (daily stand-up, backlog grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, sprint reviews)
• Responsible for following quality assurance, software testing, methodologies, processes, best practices and techniques adopted by the Software Testing industry.
• Deliver on commitments, show tenacity, and support stability and quality.
• Deliver on time, quality work that is within budget and does not over-engineer.
• Develop, execute and maintain test plans/procedures
• Work with the team and Product Owner to help identify, report and collaborate on solutions for problems reported in the field
