What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Production Coordinator position at Applied Energy Systems, Inc.?
Position Overview:
The Production Coordinator supports the company's manufacturing department by creating and maintaining the data and documentation required to ensure accurate and timely manufacturing processes. The Production Coordinator maintains and updates data via the company's MRP/ERP (Material Resource Planning/ Enterprise Resource Planning) software system as well as generates and releases documentation to the production team.
Responsibilities Include:
- Creates and issues production jobs using MRP/ERP software
- Creates and/or assigns routings for each work order to define the sequence of operations, the specific work centers required, the resources needed, and the estimated time for each operation
- Issues jobs to the production floor according to a specific schedule and priority
- Prepares and releases work order packages including BOM's, job travelers, and associated blueprints, drawings, and required manufacturing documentation
- Ensures correct raw materials, components, and outside processes (if any) are outlined on job travelers
- Tracks, generates, and releases Work Change Notices (WCN's)
- Closes jobs and issues packing slips as work orders are completed
- Interfaces with Materials, Engineering, and Production to resolve production issues
- Communicates with Production Supervisors to ensure smooth production processes
- Enters labor times of new and complete parts
- Interprets information compiled from estimates, quotes, drawings, and schematics
- Interfaces with customer service to update project status
- This position does NOT complete material audits or develop production schedules

Required Experience:
- High School Degree Required
- 2 years of manufacturing experience
- Experience with MRP/ERP software systems
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
