Job Description
This position reports directly to the Business Unit Controller of DDP. In this role, the candidate will be expected to apply conceptual and practical financial expertise to establish and standardize business processes, address complex business problems, and drive investment decision for profitable growth. As a key finance business partner, the candidate will anticipate internal and/or external business challenges and actively influence management with critical analysis and sound business advice. This role collaborates with various cross-functional organizations globally and requires the ability to provide solutions to complex problems. Works independently to support a complex business from existing product that range from high share business to commodity where competition is high and new innovation products.
Key Responsibilities
- Participates in and owns portions of the preparation of the annual operating plan, long-term strategic plan, quarterly forecasts and quarter-end financial reporting for investment portfolio and OPEX spending
- Interfacing with senior management in the business unit to drive operating expense management and prioritization across the business unit
- Lead and drive operating expense and Capex budgets by engaging with senior management in business, engineering and operations departments
- Drive project / waterfall analyses and partner with operations & Center of Excellence spending analyst team to drive actual spending to targeted levels
- Lead PRM analysis for BU and partner with TPM to ensure PRM data accuracy and timely
- Provide value-add participation in the quarterly update of R&D program business case NPV models
- Drive quarterly cadence on NPI projects on BU Portfolio review and tracking progress against program objectives
- Partner with Operation to track and report NPI cost reduction roadmap progress against target
- Partner with BM on Eval decision and execution to meet all financial metrics (market share, aged inventory, and Opex spending)
- Participate and act as an adviser for Financial related decision in the Product Review of S&OP
- Partner within finance to drive and implement best practices for financial tools and processes for financial cycles and analytical tools
- Ensure data accuracy and help management team develop and tell the story of the business unit using that information (forecasting/budgeting, financial close, balance sheet integrity)
