Position Overview:
The Fire Life Safety Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing and tracking fire life safety projects from inception to completion. This role requires expertise in low voltage electrical systems, fire life safety compliance, permitting, scheduling, material procurement, and project tracking tools like Smartsheets and ServiceTrade.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate fire life safety projects, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Manage permit applications and approvals with local jurisdictions.
- Schedule and track project milestones using Smartsheets and ServiceTrade.
- Utilize ServiceTrade software to coordinate jobs, track documents, and manage service schedules.
- Read and interpret prints and CAD drawings to assist in project planning and execution.
- Order and procure parts, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
- Gather and verify specifications on materials to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with field technicians, engineers, and clients to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate job tracking records and update stakeholders on project status.
- Assist in preparing reports and documentation for project closeout.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in fire life safety and low voltage electrical systems.
- Strong understanding of permitting processes and local codes.
- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and technical prints.
- Experience in ordering materials and obtaining specifications.
- Proficiency in Smartsheets and ServiceTrade software for project tracking and coordination.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
