Position Description
As a Supply Chain Planner you will monitor production schedules, lead times, and inventory levels. You will create shop orders based on ERP requirements as well as regularly update safety stocks and forecasts. Coordinate with Clinical Development and Customer Relations, and other relevant stakeholders to support production planning and inventory management. Identify opportunities to optimize inventory levels, reduce backorders, and improve customer service. Ability to identify manufacturing challenges and quickly escalating concerning stock availability to relevant stakeholders as well as preparing a recovery plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor inventory and maintain adequate inventory levels for FG, SFG, and RM.
- Generate shop orders and purchase requisitions in SAP (ERP).
- Frequent discussions with key stakeholders to discuss inventory related issues.
- Develop and maintain the production schedule.
- Ad hoc reporting.
Performance Objectives:
Within 30 days:
- Complete on-boarding process, including necessary training on company policies, procedures, and tools.
- Familiarize yourself with the organization's mission, values, and strategic goals.
- Gain access to and explore related systems, including MyApplied, SAP (ERP), and any others needed for the role.
- Review relevant training material.
- Meet key stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.
- Begin in-person training of existing processes and workflows.
Within 60 days:
- Begin active participation in Planning, SAP (ERP) related responsibilities.
- Continue building relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Establish regular communication channels to keep stakeholders informed about inventory related updates, project progress and changes.
- Identify any additional skills or knowledge gaps and participate in relevant training or learning opportunities.
Within 90 days:
- Take the lead on projects by being the key Planning stakeholder.
- Implement more complex integrations and customizations to existing reports, if necessary improvement are needed.
- The ability to develop strategic contingency planning for manufacturing challenges.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management for process improvements.
- Gather feedback from end-users and stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
