What are the responsibilities and job description for the Channel Sales Manager position at Applied Motion Products, Inc.?
The Channel Sales Manager complements the direct sales effort by supporting the needs of customers not managed by direct sales or business development managers. This includes international customers, distributors, E-Commerce customers, customers acquired through manufacturers reps and other customers as assigned by the VP of sales.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Develop go-to-market strategies and joint business plans, set sales targets, and provide regular reports to management
- Conduct regular business reviews with partners to assess sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement action plans
- Work with customers on training needs including our pricing structures and website use for price inquiries.
- Communicate with channel partners regarding sales/service issues and follow up on requests for quotes.
- Confer with customers to verify satisfaction with products.
- Facilitate product training, sales presentations, and demonstrations to partners and end customers.
- Support Channel partners at industry events, trade shows, partner conferences, and other initiatives to generate leads.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of procedures and systems to interface with customers and internal departments to assure maximum customer satisfaction and efficiency.
- Understand customers’ needs and identify sales opportunities.
- Work closely with operations, product management, and technical support, and customers to ensure seamless execution of channel strategies and customer satisfaction.
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound leads distribution to Channel partners and follow-up.
- Research accounts, identify key players, and generate interest.
- Develop an extensive knowledge of our product line and stay up to date through ongoing training and research
Work Experience
- Five years in a sales role at a company selling motion control products, with proven ability to drive sales growth.
Skills/Attributes
- Have a detailed understanding of E-Commerce sales, Distributor sales, sales cycles, combined with a keen sense of urgency, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and excellent sales skills.
- Proven ability to grow sales.
Qualifications (Education, Degrees, Certifications)
- Engineering degree with a focus on mechatronics.
- SalesForce CRM and Microsoft Office Suite competency.
Salary : $125,000 - $145,000
