Summary
We are seeking a Production Engineer Mechanical/Robotic. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, programming, simulating, and testing automated machinery and processes in order to complete exact tasks.
Job Duties
- Work with ME teams to improve manufacturing testing processes, increasing productivity and quality through automation testing, and implementing new products and automation processes into production. Troubleshoot software and equipment related issues and take preventive actions.
- Work with R&D teams to develop automation-testing processes for new products and create testing software through LabVIEW or other programming software based on new product requirements.
- Provide feedback to mechanical design colleagues on existing projects or design new systems with mechanical related issues.
- Monitor/participate in the commissioning and maintenance of automation systems.
- 5 ~ 10% international travel is expected for this position.
- Other duties as needed or required.
Qualifications
- Required:
- Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline
- Preferred:
- Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 2 years plus in programming and engineering work
- Working experience with SoildWorks or any 3D modeling software, preferred to also have common programming language knowledge such as LabVIEW programming, C , or VBA
- Experience with programmable logic controls, mechanical design, or circuit design is beneficial
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to manage multiple/concurrent projects
Location
This position will be on-site based in Sugar Land, Texas.
