We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radio Frequency (RF) Electrical Engineer Technician to join our team. In this role, you will assist in designing, testing, and maintaining RF equipment, circuits, and systems. You will play a critical part in supporting the development and implementation of RF solutions for a variety of projects, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with the design, development, and testing of RF components, circuits, and systems.
- Perform RF testing, measurements, and troubleshooting using specialized equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.
- Support the installation, calibration, and maintenance of RF systems and components.
- Conduct tests to assess RF performance, signal integrity, and quality, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve RF issues in equipment and systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Assist with the creation of test plans, test scripts, and documentation for RF systems and components.
- Work closely with engineering teams to implement RF designs into production and resolve technical challenges.
- Maintain detailed records of test results, observations, and actions taken during troubleshooting processes.
- Stay up-to-date with RF industry developments and incorporate new technologies and methodologies into existing projects.
- Support the design and manufacturing of RF prototypes, ensuring functional and performance specifications are met.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and other team members as necessary.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field (or equivalent technical training/experience).
- Experience: At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in RF engineering or related technical roles.
- Strong understanding of RF theory, signal propagation, antennas, and electromagnetic compatibility.
- Proficient in RF testing and measurement tools (e.g., network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.).
- Familiarity with RF circuit design software and tools is a plus.
- Experience with installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of RF systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Good communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and report on progress and challenges.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices when working with RF equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with wireless communication systems (e.g., cellular, Wi-Fi, satellite).
- Familiarity with RF compliance standards (e.g., FCC, CE).
- Certifications related to RF technologies or electrical engineering are a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to [specify weight, if applicable].
