Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Engineering Technician III to lead and
support advanced technical projects in our Panama City, FL facility. This senior-level position
requires a strong background in engineering practices, hands-on technical expertise, and the
ability to lead complex tasks independently or as part of a larger team for Naval Surface Warfare
Center’s Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) Command, Control, Computing,
Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Targeting (C5ISRT).
Responsibilities
Direct and supervise project execution, technical oversight, system diagnostics, and
mentor junior staff.
Lead and execute advanced technical systems with minimal supervision.
Perform detailed system diagnostics, testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting.
Provide technical expertise during the development, integration, and implementation of
engineering solutions.
Analyze data, identify trends, and prepare detailed technical documentation and reports.
Supervise or mentor junior engineering technicians and serve as a technical point of
contact on projects.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality control
procedures.
Support design reviews, project planning sessions, and system installations or upgrades.
Interface with cross-functional teams, customers, and stakeholders to ensure project goals
are met.
Participate in R&D efforts, contribute to process improvements, and recommend
solutions to technical challenges.
Maintain and calibrate specialized tools and equipment; assist in procurement and vendor
coordination.
Attend technical training, conferences, and workshops to stay current with industry
advancements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Engineering Technician Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Security Clearance.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in engineering or technical roles.
Demonstrated expertise in system diagnostics, maintenance, and technical reporting.
Strong leadership and mentorship skills; experience supervising junior staff is preferred.
Proficient with engineering software, tools, schematics, and instrumentation.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Strong understanding of safety standards, compliance, and quality control practices.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a high-pressure
environment.
Willingness to support overtime and field work as needed.
