Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, dependable, and skilled Sewing Specialist to join our Memo Sampling team. The sewing process is simple and straight-forward, and we're looking for candidates that can keep a fast pace while maintaining great quality. Attention to detail is a must! The Sewing Specialist will work in a warehouse environment, collaborating with team members to meet production goals and ensure quality standards are upheld. This is a Full-Time, Temporary position with the potential of becoming a Permanent position.
Duties
- Operate sewing machines to construct stand-alone fabric samples.
- Tends machine that automatically binds edges of articles with serging stitch to reinforce edges, prevent raveling, and give finished appearance.
- Maintain an organized workspace within the warehouse, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot production issues and improve processes.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sewing. Industrial sewing experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with various types of sewing machines and their operation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to read and understand patterns and prints.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
