We are hiring a Buyer for our Waukesha, WI area! This professional will be responsible for handling the procurement of products.
As the world’s largest fluid power distributor, Applied Fluid Power and our network of 20 fluid power companies. At HyQuip, a subsidiary of Applied Fluid Products/Applied Industrial Technologies, the Buyer role has an immediate impact on our customers, on our company performance, and on personal earnings. This is a full-time permanent position at our location in Waukesha, WI.
As a Buyer, you will perform a variety of duties required. Your duties will include:
- Review demand and produce, update, verify, change and complete purchase requisitions (buy reports or special purchasing requests) by comparing items requested to actual demand and stocking level minimum requirements and usage trend
- Obtain quotes from vendors/suppliers
- Responsible for communicating with the sales team/customer service department on backorders, possible pricing issues and lateness’s
- Resolve inventory discrepancy issues with vendors
- Assist in daily cycle counting processing using available reports and systems
- Help maintain ERP system costs in our system
- Coordination of returns to suppliers
Position Requirements
- Attention to detail: accurate data entry skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
- Intermediate level Microsoft Excel experience
- 6 months purchasing experience
- Experience in distribution or manufacturing environment
- Ability and desire to quickly learn new processes and systems
