We are currently looking for a Quality/Calibration Manager working directly in our Madison Heights lab ensuring robust testing services to be provided to external customers. Applus Reliable Analysis (Applus RA) is expanding the testing laboratory providing testing and engineering services to the manufacturers and key suppliers in the transportation, automotive, defense and industrial sectors.
As a key team member within the operations team, the position will include a variety of standard and non-standard test projects within the laboratory department assigned for timely and accurate results with supervision support as required.
Job Description
The Quality/Calibration Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and calibration within the laboratory. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading ISO 17025 audits, internal audits, round robins, proficiency tests, calibration programs, document control, and other activities to maintain accreditation to ISO and client-specific Automotive requirements;
- Overseeing site audits conducted by regulatory agencies and clients as needed;
- Maintaining a state of preparedness for audits via maintenance and adherence to a task schedule;
- Reviewing reports for compliance with regulations, procedures, and SOPs;
- Participating in the creation, review, and approval of SOPs;
- Logging, responding, and resolving customer and internal complaints and NCRs;
- Participating in the development of reports on QA activities status for Regional Quality Manager, Quality Director, and others as necessary;
- Mentoring and training personnel on corporate and quality policies and procedures;
- Participating in maintaining employee training data base.

Requirements
