Job Duties

Develop and enhance semiconductor wafer processing techniques for optoelectronic device fabrication using materials such as InP, GaAs, and GaSb.
Design and implement process control strategies to improve yield, reproducibility, and performance of advanced sensor chip assemblies.
Conduct experiments and apply statistical analysis to identify process improvements and troubleshoot challenges.
Create detailed work instructions and process travelers to guide manufacturing and R&D teams.
Perform hands-on work with semiconductor fabrication equipment, including photolithography tools, plasma deposition machines, and metal deposition systems.
Collaborate with internal teams to interpret test data and refine processes to enhance device performance.
Provide training and guidance to engineers and technicians on newly developed or optimized processes.
Ensure thorough documentation of process parameters, outcomes, and best practices.

Qualifications

5 years of experience in semiconductor wafer processing and microelectronic fabrication.

Hands-on expertise with photolithography, dry etching, metal deposition, plasma processing, and other nanofabrication techniques.

Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical process control and design of experiments (DOE).

Proven track record of developing and implementing process improvements in semiconductor manufacturing.

Ability to interpret semiconductor device performance data and recommend process modifications.

Proficiency in documenting experimental results, writing technical reports, and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Experience with semiconductor material handling and cleanroom operations.

Preferred Experience

Familiarity with mask design and mask layout software.

Experience in software programming, MES systems, or automation tools related to semiconductor manufacturing.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

Excellent communication skills, including the ability to mentor junior engineers and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Prior experience in project or program management.

Ability to handle small, delicate components with precision.

Security Clearance

Must be able to obtain US Secret clearance.
