Job Description
MES shift engineer for 2nd or 3rd shift at plant 2.
The candidate would be responsible to provide MES support to manufacturing operations that runs on the shop floor.
Experience in a JIS or JIT production facility and a background in MES
Duties And Responsibilities
Responsibility in MES projects: from requirement discussion-> project related document preparation -> IRS discussion -> follow up (IRS / Operations) -> implementation, testing and support.
MES System monitoring, troubleshooting, problem resolution and implementation
MES support - configuration of printers, scanners (PPC), PBL controllers and carts, part labels, MES
Configure and troubleshoot barcode scanners
Basic level network troubleshooting
DB troubleshooting and monitoring, MES user management, adhoc report creation
Training new MES shift engineers, assisting them in troubleshooting
Track and control MES devices and their configurations
As a senior Engineer – should be able to troubleshoot other systems that are integrated with MES (such as JIS sequence system, Paintshop system, SAP, AIB, HMI etc.)
Soft Skills
Work with departments resources on process/project development (ie, production)
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to determine when next level problem escalation is necessary
Should be in experienced in customer service, as well as excellent verbal and written communications skills
Education And Experience
Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, MIS, or equivalent hands-on work experience.
Minimum of 4 Years of experience with Information Technology, preferably in Manufacturing industry
