What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilitator position at APR Consulting?
An electric utility client is looking for a Professional Facilitator to facilitate a panel of representatives of disadvantaged communities throughout the company's service territory.
Location : Westminster, CA (The locations will vary and are TBD)
Position : Professional Facilitator
Pay Rate : $40.15 / hr. on W2
Duration : 12 months or longer
Schedule : 3 days per month assignment, 8-5 on any day of the week between M-F
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Become proficient enough in knowledge of the EPIC Program as well as the company's projects within the Program to lead conversations about the Program and projects.
PROJECT SCOPE :
Professional facilitator. Someone who will facilitate a panel every other month with prep work 2 days a month so will be working 3 days per month total.
TEAM STRUCTURE :
They will be a one-person team. will be working with panel members working with project management organizations.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- At least a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 3 years experience in facilitating is a must-have.
- Experience professional facilitating meetings.
- Experience working with community-based organizations.
- Ability to learn subjects quickly
- Working knowledge grid technology
- Communicate effectively.
- Expertise in working with community organizations on engagement efforts.
- Experience facilitating discussions with these types of organizations.
- Skills and experience to drive these groups beyond conversation to desired actions.
SOFT SKILLS :
- Experience with leading panels of community-based organizations is nice to have.
- Experience putting together agendas, and notes for facilitated panel discussions.
DESIRED SKILLS :
- Understanding of EPIC Program.
- Ability to assimilate knowledge quickly and speak intelligently about that knowledge.
