Pay Rate : $40 / hr
Duration : 13 weeks
Expected Shift : 8am-5pm, 40 hours / week
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Medical Staff Services, the Medical Staff Services Manager is responsible for all the Medical Staff Office departmental activities to ensure quality in conducting, maintaining and communication of credentialing, and privileging process for the Medical Staff. Serves as a resource to, and collaborates with, senior management and others to advance the quality of practitioners and patient safety at AHC. Oversees the development and management of procedures that support the credentialing process. Displays actions and attitude that contribute to the pillars of success of the organization.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Required :
Bachelor's Degree or higher education3 years minimum in the medical services fieldCertified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) : Required and / or certified in Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) within three years of date of hire.Experience in Credentialing software, Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, Power Point and OutlookPreferred :
3 years minimum management experience5 years minimum in the medical services fieldJOB RESPONSBILITIES :
Manages Medical Staff Coordinator team, which includes work allocation, training, enforcement of internal procedures and controls, and problem resolution. Also evaluates performance, make recommendations for personnel actions and then implements. Motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.Provides oversight and guidance of Credentialing Staff to ensure all timelines, accuracy of data and work processes are met.Manages, oversees, and administers the credentialing process for SGMC and other facilities Medical and Advance Practice Professional Staff members, in accordance with Joint Commission, NCQA, and CMS accreditation standards, Federal and State laws, Medical Staff Bylaws / Rules and Regulations and Corporate / Hospital policies.Monitors the Medical Staffs' Bylaws, Credentials Manual, rules and regulations, and policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with requirements in the credentialing performed; reviews credentialing related corporate policies and develops, recommends, and / or implements changes, revisions, and enhancements as appropriate to current operating conditions.Coordinates and participates in the Credentials, Health and Bylaws Committee in collaboration with the Medical Staff Services Director and Senior Medical Staff Leadership.Manages the credentialing database; monitors critical data for extensive analysis and report generation.Participates in departmental performance improvement and core process activities.Participates in the development and management of annual operating budgets for the unit, as appropriate.Functions as primary credentials contact for all internal and external groups; serves as a primary point of liaison between senior management and Medical Staff Office and develops and maintains positive working relationships.Provide leadership and serves as project leader on special projects and other credentialing related activitiesWorks closely with the Director Medical Staff Services to develop and implement common priorities and goals for the department to enhance customer service and maximize operational efficiency.Our client is the one of the largest Healthcare Staffing Provider in the United States, to be assigned at one of their affiliated hospitals / healthcare facilities.
