Pay Rate: $27/hr
Duration: 13 weeks
Expected Shift: 6:45am to 5:15pm, 30 hours/week
(Wed, Thurs, and Fri // OFF Monday and Tuesday)

Job Description:
Patient Care Coordinators are responsible and accountable for the coordination of information and support needed for the flow of patients at our clinics. As a patient-facing caregiver, you’ll provide customer service, helping patients through processes like check-in, registration, billing/financial aid and insurance. Patient Care Coordinators work in conjunction with our clinical teams to assist with scheduling, clinic operations and more.

Job Specific Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
– Solid understanding of medical terminology desired.
– Solid understanding of CPT and ICD10 coding.
– Working knowledge of insurance authorization process.
– Be able to manage confidential information.
– Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally, as well as to interact in a professional manner with colleagues, patients, families, and visitors.
– Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills; able to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
– Must be able to work well with all members of the health care team and in a team environment.
– Ability to treat people with respect under all circumstances, instill trust in others while upholding the values of the organization.
– Must be flexible and willing to take on increasing responsibility.
– Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, physicians and other staff members.
– Demonstrated PC skills, i.e. proficient with MS Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook
– Ability to navigate EMR and/or EHR such as Epic.
Required Qualifications
– 1 year of experience in medical/healthcare setting or two years in a customer service role
– Prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, scheduling, insurance experience, including handling confidential data with discretion
Preferred Qualifications
– Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience
