Position Overview
The Youth Program Director (MSW) leads the strategic direction and clinical oversight of APF's youth programs, including the Reentry Action for Youth (RAY) initiative. This role ensures high-impact service delivery, team development, and strong partnerships that support youth through reentry, healing, and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage youth programs with a focus on reentry, mentorship, and care coordination
- Provide clinical supervision and support to program staff, ensuring trauma-informed, youth-centered services
- Oversee program operations, compliance, outcomes, and reporting
- Recruit, train, and support staff including mentors, case managers, and interns
- Collaborate with partners including DYD, Probation, schools, and community-based organizations
- Center youth voice in service planning, goal setting, and program design
- Ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with funder guidelines and best practices
Required
- Master's in Social Work (MSW)
- LCSW or license-eligible within 6 months
- 5 years of experience in youth services, reentry, or community-based programs
- 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed and culturally responsive care
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Commitment to equity, youth empowerment, and community-driven solutions
- Experience with justice-involved youth and LA County systems
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
