Job Summary:
The Front Desk staff reports to the Front Desk Supervisor and serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors to the facility. This role plays a crucial part in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the efficient functioning of the front desk area.
Essential Functions:
- Greets patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Verifies patient information and updates as necessary.
- Collects and documents patient demographics, insurance information, and medical history.
- Schedules patient appointments and follow-up visits.
- Coordinates with the therapists to ensure a well-organized appointment calendar.
- Confirms and reminds patients of upcoming appointments via phone, text, or email.
- Assists patients with check-in procedures upon arrival.
- Assists patients with completing necessary forms and acquiring signatures.
- Answers incoming calls and screens and directs them to the appropriate department or staff.
- Responds to patient inquiries, appointment requests, and general information requests.
- Assists with patient complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
- Maintains a clean and organized front desk area.
- Orders and stocks office supplies as needed.
- Assists with administrative tasks as needed.
- Collaborates with the therapists and other staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Communicates patient information accurately and confidentially.

Qualifications/Skills:
- Must have ability to operate standard office machines and be computer literate.
- Must have good interpersonal skills.

- Must be able to work independently, as well as with other staff in a shared work space.
- Must be able to exhibit an ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest levels of professionalism performing assigned duties and responsibilities with little to no supervision.

Education/ Experience Requirements:
- High school graduate preferred.
- One to two years previous experience in a hospital/outpatient setting preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a clean, well-lit, busy environment.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- May need to lift up to 10-15 pounds on occasion.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
