Position Summary
APS Solutions ("APS") is looking for a full-time Accountant to join our team. The Accountant will collect and analyze financial data, prepare financial statements and oversee tax compliance.
- Location: Sedalia, MO
- Pay: Starting at 50k, and DOE and/or education
- Schedule: Fulltime - The primary schedule is M – F, 8:00am – 5:00pm. Schedule may vary based on the needs of the business. APS Solutions operates 24/7.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
- Oversees month end close procedures, including reconciling accounts and preparing financial reports.
- Assist with quarterly and annual workers compensations audits and reporting within monopolistic states.
- Preparation and filing of weekly, monthly and quarterly tax reports.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements regarding payroll tax laws.
- Assist with the annual budget process and monthly department reporting.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented
- Achievement-oriented – enjoys taking on challenges.
- Tolerance for fast-pace – thrives in a high-pressure environment with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
- Proficient in Microsoft office Suite, especially Excel, or similar software.
- Quickbooks online.
- Experience with Bill Spend and Expense is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Three years or more experience in Accounting or Finance.
- Multi-state payroll tax knowledge/experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Able to travel as needed.
