Position Summary:
The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage HR Generalist, Onboarding and Travel Manager, and HR and Safety Manager.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department, including day to day issues and HR related questions in home office or on customer site.
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include creating job descriptions, recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Provide support for all onboarding-related matters, including addressing questions about background checks and drug screenings. Review and advise for adjudication when necessary.
- Provides coaching and ensuring proper documentation.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Develop and Perform New Hire Orientation.
- Oversee and assist the HR Generalist with benefit administration, including selection and annual open enrollment.
- Oversee 401k administration.
- Complete all annual reporting items and tasks. I.e. form 5500, ACA, etc.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Update various information across different systems, including PTO, sick leave, benefits, unemployment, and I-9 forms.
- Identify potential HR related issues and solutions.
- Evaluation of technology and vendors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
- Avionte experience preferred but not required.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or similar field.
- SHRM-CP or PHR preferred.
- Experience in the staffing industry and multi-state employment law and compliance preferred.
- A minimum of three years of human resource management experience preferred.
- Tolerance for fast-pace – thrives in a high-pressure environment with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Able to travel as needed.
