JOB SUMMARY:
The role of the Component Manufacturing Shop Helper will work with the Component Manufacturing team and machinists to maintain the shop cleanliness and organization.
NOTE: This position is classified as a safety sensitive position under Oklahoma House Bill 2612, also known as the Unity Bill

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with co-workers and management
- Primary duties are to maintain the shop cleanliness, which includes cleaning floors, machines, and shop areas
- Perform periodic weld testing in accordance APSCO quality manual
- Assist in operation of saw as needed
- Assist with deburring in laser department
- Dump machine chips
- Assist in operation of robotic welder
- Assist with operation of PEM machine
- Refill coolant in machines
- Loading and unloading of parts and supplies
- Maintaining machinist and shared work areas cleanliness and organization
- Assist machinists by cleaning and deburring parts
- Assist machinists with material handling
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma Required
EXPERIENCE: None required, will train

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to perform moderately heavy physical work with routine physical activity including:
- Standing 60% and walking 40%.
- Frequently requires excellent eye-hand coordination and hearing and visual acuity
- Ability to routinely lift 30 pounds and move up to 50 pounds throughout the facility.
- Must be able to tolerate exposure to dust, fumes, noise, temperature, and other elements.
- Must be able to bend, stoop and maneuver safely around obstacles.
- Must comply with the Company’s drug-free workplace policy.
- Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management.
