What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Manager position at APSCUF?
Office Manager, Association of State College and University Faculties (APSCUF, the collective bargaining agent) at Kutztown University.
Duties: Manage the APSCUF/Kutztown University office on behalf of 450 plus faculty and athletic coaches members; coordinate with state APSCUF headquarters, coordinate all correspondence activities with various constituencies, maintain office file system, schedule and make arrangements for a variety of meetings, help organize faculty and coaches, assist with and participate in increasing APSCUF membership and assist with and any other general office manager tasks and organizational needs as required.
Required: Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in a union setting; ability to deal appropriately with confidential information. Competency in Microsoft Office including SharePoint and Google Apps, as well as an understanding of data bases.
Preferred: Experience with labor union environment; experience as an office manager; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; self-motivated, flexible individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
This is a 9 month full-time, summer half-time position with year-long full benefits, beginning as soon as possible. Starting salary is $31,319. Liberal benefits and vacation package included.
