About The Project
The Harbor UCLA replacement is a $1.7B multiyear program. The program consists of various small, medium and large projects. The current HUCLA medical center hospital is not compliant with the state mandate seismic code, and therefore a need for replacement new hospital. In addition, there will be outpatient, support building, parking structure/surface lots, central utility plant, 12KV/66KV substation and utility corridor projects. The scoping documents are complete and initial demolition/ move management has already started and the major D/B procurement is underway. The entire program is scheduled to finish fall 2027.

What You’ll Do
As a Scheduler I, you’ll work closely with senior staff to track project timelines, update schedules, and support the overall planning effort. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with regular updates to project schedules.
- Helping prepare reports on progress, cost, and timelines (including cash flow tracking).
- Supporting schedule reviews and updates from contractors and internal teams.
- Utilizing and configuring construction project portfolio management software to create and update Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules.
- Analyzing and reviewing Time Impact Analyses (TIA) to understand the impact of delays or changes on CPM schedules.
- Performing earned value analysis at various stages of the project lifecycle.
- Conducting forensic schedule analysis to support the evaluation of construction claims or potential schedule impacts.
- Performing on-site monitoring to help verify actual progress against reported progress.
- Assisting in the coordination of the change order process, including identifying scope changes from RFIs and preparing change order packages for approval.
- Participating in regular construction project status meetings and collaborating with project teams on schedule-related items.
- Learning to create “what-if” scenario schedules based on project changes.
- Occasionally supporting senior team members or stepping in to cover tasks as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Around 1–2 years of relevant experience in construction scheduling.
- Familiarity with scheduling software (Oracle P6 is preferred).
- Interest in working on large, complex building projects.
- Experience or exposure to healthcare, hospital, or public sector construction projects.
- A basic understanding of construction processes and sequencing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and tools like Bluebeam.
