The Director for Counseling & Health Services reports to the Assistant Vice President for Health & Wellbeing (AVP) and serves as a leader to provide transformative strategy, vision, multidisciplinary and data-informed approach, and operational leadership to develop, inspire, and lead a robust health services program and a comprehensive student-centered counseling program. As a leadership team member, this position collaborates in a cross-divisional and cross-institutional approach to provide oversight of individual and group counseling, health services, health prevention programs, and human growth and development activities for students in a thriving campus life environment that contributes to the holistic success of students.The Director provides leadership and management of the operating budget and office grants and is responsible for part-time and full-time student staff. The Director has oversight for promoting student growth through a comprehensive counseling program and wellness through a non-emergency health services center. In collaboration with other university and community agencies, wellness and prevention programs will be provided. the Director will seek continuous and integrated improvements on all such matters and collaborating with campus partners to achieve Division goals.Austin Peay State University is a four-year public, doctoral-level university with six colleges and four Chairs of Excellence.
