DOORS Requirement Engineer (#3699668)

Position Description Summary

APT Research is hiring a full-time DOORS Requirements Engineer in Huntsville, AL to perform DOORS for NG administration on a 9/80 work schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Configure, maintain, and optimize IBM DOORS NG for MAVIS requirements management
• Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls
• Develop and enforce best practices for database structuring, attributes, and relationships
• Develop, manage, and maintain system and subsystem requirements within DOORS NG
• Ensure traceability between requirements, verification methods, and test plans
• Support requirements decomposition, allocation, and validation across MAVIS subsystems
• Generate reports, dashboards, and metrics for design reviews and audits
• Integrate DOORS NG with MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, Rhapsody, or similar

Required Experience/Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• 5 years of experience in IBM DOORS or DOORS NG administration
• 5 years of experience in IBM DOORS or DOORS NG administration
• Strong background in requirements engineering for complex aerospace or defense systems
• Hands-on experience with MBSE methodologies and SysML (e.g., Cameo, Rhapsody)
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Systems engineering experience in space systems, launch vehicles, or deep-space missions
• Experience following a disciplined Model Development Plan or similar structured MBSE frameworks
• Experience working on Mars architecture programs, launch vehicles, or planetary exploration systems
• Familiarity with cloud-based DOORS NG deployments and possibly Jama deployments

Security Clearance Requirement:

• Must be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance if needed.
