Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Cary, IL. As a member of our Engineering and Industrialization team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and improving operational efficiency.
Your primary responsibility will be to lead, drive, and manage all applicable engineering and technical aspects associated with Capital Projects, Continuous Improvement Projects, material changes for sustainability, and dual sourcing of equipment/materials to improve our speed to market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in executing engineering change orders to project scope in equipment and materials (i.e., alternate production materials and recycled materials)
- Drive sampling, validation, and production release of engineering change orders
- Assist in development of quotations for new market opportunities and work with suppliers of injection molds, automation, and support equipment as needed
- Seek and develop new technology advancements that will help gain a competitive edge
- Initiate and improve project engineering process across multiple technical disciplines, while adhering to ISO standards and procedures
- Provide technical support to Manufacturing and Quality as it relates to our Project Portfolio
- Coordinate, manage, and supervise the delivery and sampling of new cells (molds, EOT, robotics, and assembly equipment)
- Participate and contribute to concept development, design iterations for molds and automation
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- 3-5 years of manufacturing industry experience
- Fundamental understanding of statistics and application
- Experience in Data Analytics and tools to present data results and trends
- Travel: Domestic up to 30% and sometimes at short notice. International travel a possibility
