What’s new with Aptar
We have an exciting position open for a Mold Technician. Looking for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude to learn skills as a mold technician.
The right candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, organization skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication.
This person will work independently, as well as in a team environment, doing all aspects of injection mold preventative maintenance and troubleshooting / problem solving.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Full Disassembly and reassembly of molds
- Cleaning of mold components (hand and tank processes)
- Cleaning and changing of ultrasonic wash unit and coolant tanks
- In-Press mold preventative maintenance
- Perform mold component conversions in multi-cavity tooling
- Housekeeping and 5S activity
- Hydraulic Cylinder Maintenance and Repair
- Repair of molds for increased cavitation.
- Problem solving. Root cause analysis of issues
- Use of mold books, torque charts and SOP’s
Skills
- Strong mechanical ability, organizational skills and communication
- Use of hand and pneumatic tools
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work well within a team environment as well as self-directed
- Must be able to lift / carry 50lbs.
- Prior experience in a Tooling or Manufacturing atmosphere is a bonus
- Blueprint knowledge.
- Basic knowledge of Toolroom machines and equipment
- Basic Electrical troubleshooting (for hot runners and controllers)
