THE ROLE
As a Part-Time Employment Specialist, you would support people with disabilities to live their best lives as independently as possible through meaningful employment. In this role, you would help new participants find work they enjoy by understanding their desires, capabilities, and goals. You would then help each of them get job-ready. Your ultimate goal is to help these individuals obtain and retain employment with businesses in the community.
SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION
$19.44/hr
Part-Time - Around 25 hours/week, 5 day a week availability
Flexible Scheduling; Weekend rotation availability required
Hybrid work schedule
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain relationships with employers, participants, schools, DVR, and community partners to enhance employment opportunities.
Provide job coaching and support to participants as needed.
Manage a growing caseload efficiently while ensuring a high standard of service.
Work independently in a hybrid environment, demonstrating strong time management and organizational skills.
Travel between Walworth and Waukesha Counties as required.
Occasionally provide transportation for participants to work, while also encouraging them to learn about other forms of transportation, and pedestrian safety skills, and assist with wheelchairs.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Resides in or near Dane County and is willing to work throughout all of Dane county.
Flexible availability, with a minimum of five days per week.
Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Experience working in employment services, job coaching, or related fields preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Stable employment history; candidates with frequent short-term positions may not be the best fit.
Strong computer skills
Knowledge of various software packages including Windows Applications and Google Drive
Valid driver's license and reliable non-public transportation
Passion for serving individuals with disabilities and providing employment options for them
Strong relationship-building, time-management, and communication skills
Preferred:
A bachelor's degree OR an associate degree with 3 years of experience in human services
One year or more of experience in sales and working with individuals with disabilities
