About Us:
Aptiva Health is a rapidly expanding multi-specialty group with multiple locations throughout Kentucky. We are currently looking to hire a centralized scheduling representative for our Corporate office in Louisville. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to fill this position and begin training immediately.
Centralized Scheduling Representative Job Responsibilities:
Our centralized scheduling representatives work directly with patients and practitioners. Day to day duties include taking calls regarding new patient intake, scheduling, insurance verification and pre-authorization approvals.
Centralized Scheduling Representative Job Duties:
- Verifies patient information by interviewing patient over the phone; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.
- Schedules patients with appropriate providers according to patient needs, provider preferences, and location.
- Processes incoming referrals from various sources.
- Utilizes EMR to accurately record patient information.
- Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; keeping patient information confidential.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
- Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Scheduling patients with appropriate provider and locations
Centralized Scheduling Representative Skills and Qualifications:
Detail orientated
Able to complete tasks with short deadlines
Written and verbal communication etiquette
Ability to multi task and prioritize assignments
Basic Computer, Email, and Phone skills
Microsoft and Google experience
2 years of experience in Medical Office or hospital setting with a focus on patient scheduling, health, auto, and worker’s comp insurance.
2 years of experience working in a multi-facility or multi discipline medical office or facility.
Work independently as well as complete assigned work
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
