What You ll Do
- Modernize Websites: Transform static HTML, CSS, and media-based websites into dynamic WordPress CMS-powered sites.
- Collaborate on Design: Work with the Business Unit and IT Development Team to design and develop a modern, streamlined wireframe.
- Reorganize Content: Assess existing pages (approximately 150) and links, reorganizing them for better structure and public appeal.
- Configure WordPress: Set up and customize WordPress content, integrating various plugins.
- Media Management: Edit and optimize audio, video, and image files for seamless integration.
- Progress Tracking: Provide weekly updates on accomplishments, upcoming tasks, and any issues encountered during the modernization process.
- Support Other Projects: Assist in additional webpage modernization projects, including internal intranet page updates.
- UI Design: Design and create wireframes for engaging and user-friendly interfaces.
What You ll Need
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer, with the ability to build websites from scratch.
- Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Skilled in customizing and working with WordPress plugins (e.g., Elementor, Updraft Plus, Yoast).
- Strong media editing capabilities for photos, videos, and audio.
- Creative mindset with an eye for aesthetics and intuitive user experiences.
- Ability to collaborate with business units to gather and interpret requirements.
- Experience in designing wireframes and user interfaces.
- Proficiency in optimizing website performance, ensuring security, and maintaining responsiveness.
