Job Summary- The Logistics Coordinator manages and oversees the efficient movement of products and materials within our operations. This role ensures smooth execution of deliveries, inventory management, and customer interactions, supporting our goal of providing top-tier service in the doors, frames, and hardware industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery Coordination:
- Coordinate and schedule deliveries with customers to guarantee timely shipment.
- Communicate effectively to address shipment inquiries and resolve client concerns.
- Support drivers by occasionally stepping in for delivery or pickup as required.
- Inventory and Documentation Management:
- Review pick slips, shipping documents, and inventory records for accuracy.
- Ensure proper receipt and inspection of materials within 48 hours to confirm alignment with purchase orders.
- Maintain organized records of inventory discrepancies and corrective actions.
- Operational Excellence:
- Collaborate with purchasing managers, sales teams, and project managers to resolve delivery issues and streamline operations.
- Ensure all work instructions, tools, and materials are available for efficient department operations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and productive work environment.
- Error Tracking and Problem Solving:
- Monitor, track, and rectify shipping errors promptly.
- Devise and implement special shipping arrangements when necessary.
- Customer Service:
- Deliver exceptional customer service through professional and positive interactions with clients and internal teams.
- Assist with pickup and loading of orders when needed.
- Leadership and Training:
- Provide support and leadership to warehouse teams, especially during the manager’s absence.
- Contribute to inventory control, including annual inventory checks and error resolution.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Operate vehicles such as box trucks or vans, ensuring compliance with company and legal standards.
- Perform certified forklift operations safely and efficiently.
- Technology and Reporting:
- Utilize computer software (Microsoft Office, inventory management tools) for scheduling, invoicing, and reporting.
- Prepare bills and invoices accurately and on time.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong communication skills including telephone and e-mail.
- Exceptional verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong ability to foster teamwork and coach others effectively.
- Familiarity with local and regional geographical areas; ability to use maps and understand time zones.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED (Associate degree preferred).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past two years.
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
- Physical capability to handle warehouse tasks, including lifting and moving materials as needed.
