What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Operator position at Aptyx?
SUMMARY: Performs various tasks involved in the manufacture of medical devices. The operator will be trained in and will follow written procedures for any work to be performed. Job performance will be evaluated based upon predetermined criteria for quality of work and productivity, as well as attendance, adherence to company policies and procedures, standards of conduct, and safety record.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Responsible for performing only operations for which required training has been completed, as documented in the appropriate training matrix.
Read and follow the instructions for each assigned task.
Perform product inspections according to written procedures, using basic measurement equipment and visual aids.
Report/record information as required by procedures.
Maintain a neat and organized workstation.
Notify supervision of any deviations or non-conformities encountered.
May be requested to assist in the training of other employees.
Must be flexible to reassignment/job rotation as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Although not a requirement, previous experience in medical device manufacturing is desirable.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions as required for on the job training.
Capable of written and/or verbal communication.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form.
