- Conduct inspections of molded and assembled components using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
- Interpret and analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Assist in performing First Article Inspections (FAI) and process capability studies.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality issues.
- Document inspection results and maintain quality records per company procedures.
- Assist in developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and customer service, to address quality concerns.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma projects.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Basic understanding of quality principles and manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for data recording and analysis.
- Hands-on experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
