Pre-Construction Team Lead

As a Pre-Construction Manager, you'll play a key role in driving project success from inception through preconstruction. Your responsibilities will include guiding multiple projects through the design and pre-construction phases, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a collaborative environment among subcontractors, vendors, and project team members. You'll partner with Estimating and Purchasing to set up projects, ensuring profitability, client satisfaction, and ideal subcontractor selection. Additionally, you'll cultivate a collaborative environment among project team members, supporting the Marketing team in preparing responses for RFPs and RFQs, and participating in interview processes for negotiated bids. Your expertise in providing alternative solutions considering cost, schedule, maintenance, and life cycle implications will be invaluable in identifying and addressing design gaps in project documents for accurate estimates. You'll also prepare project qualifications and assumptions aligned with contract requirements, manage budget control, and track the construction budget, communicating updates to clients and the project team. To succeed in this role, you'll need a bachelor's degree in a construction-related field or business-related field, and a minimum of five years' experience in Construction Management. You'll also require proven experience in pre-construction, project management, or a related field within the construction industry, strong client relationship and communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of construction contracts, estimating, and budgeting.
