Summary
Manage Production Control for Rotating Sales Orders & Aftermarket Sales orders : Issue and track work orders to ensure material is supplied to the production floor. Other responsibilities include Production Job Building, daily job closures, period end & year end processing, and assisting other members of Production Control.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review Rotating Products sales orders and determine methods to build production jobs.
- Review & Process Aftermarket Sales Orders released to Production. Review the Aftermarket open order report for Sales Orders/Production jobs that can be released to Manufacturing.
- Create new manufacturing part numbers with operations and bill of materials to support Rotating Products, Aftermarket Sales and used equipment requirements.
- Back up and assist Production Control Supervisor in processing engineering releases and change orders.
- Assist processing of received return material authorization.
- Review the Work Dispatch report and release job travelers and drawings to Manufacturing to ensure production schedule is met.
- Interface with Manufacturing, Purchasing and Rotating Product Sales personnel & Aftermarket Sales personnel on material status and production planning.
- Perform daily and period-end system Production Control functions, such as receiving and closing production jobs, resolving negative on hand inventory issues.
- Back up to Production Control Warranty Coordinator for receiving and processing warranty claims.
- Back up and/or assist Production Control Warranty Coordinator.
- Other projects as assigned.
knowledge, skills and abilities
Must be computer literate and have familiarity with MS Office software. Must have comprehensive understanding of Rotating Products – product knowledge, Vantage software and current methods of manufacturing. Proficient data entry skills and ability to operate a printer, copier, and a fax machine. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must. Must be able to prioritize and be able to organize. Must be self-motivated and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve practical problems are mandatory.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Usual office working conditions with moderate noise such as computers and printers, telephones and copy machines. Occasional exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes and odors.
Minimum qualifications
An Associates degree in a related field or a minimum of 3 experience years in a manufacturing environment. Experience with Epicor/Vantage.
