Summary
A position in the Aftermarket Sales department to provide support for rental equipment. The support will come in the form of performing repairs, startups and inspections for Aqua-Aerobic Systems’ rental fleet of equipment. Skills in engineering, mechanical and electrical repair, and a firm understanding of the operation of Aqua-Aerobic Systems’ products will be necessary and applied.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides instruction to on site personnel to ensure rental outcomes are aligned with company objectives
- Performs check-out and functional testing of new units with Engineering support
- Directs rental equipment rehab activities and maintains schedules from receipt to shipment
- Ensures operational capability of each unit
- Inspects units returned from remote sites
- Schedules and provides routine maintenance per each unit’s O&M manual
- Schedules repair work as necessary
- Calibrates instrumentation or schedules OEM instrumentation service as necessary
- Maintains records of service and changes made to units utilizing maintenance software
- Works with AMS Director to maintain stock of spare parts for each unit
- Evaluates operational safety conditions of rental assets and communicates concerns to AMS Director. Suggests resolutions where applicable.
- Provide technical support for units installed remotely
- Work directly with AMS Director to coordinate schedules, review expenses, and manage budgets
- Work directly with Engineering on required rental equipment upgrades, programming changes, etc.
- Be able to establish positive professional company and client relationships with regards to AMS activities.
- Perform inspections and provide dispositions on rental fleet equipment upon its return to Aqua
- Travel on an as needed basis to perform startup and shutdown of Aqua’s rental equipment. This will include surfaces aerators, aspirating aerators, filters, pure oxygen mixers, and Granular sludge rental equipment.
- Perform repair of Aqua-Aerobic Systems rental equipment, either at a job site, or upon return from the field.
- Be capable of articulating the requirements for more substantial repairs of equipment to vendors as needed.
knowledge, skills and abilities
Ability to drive a forklift preferred.
Must be computer literate and be knowledgeable of MS Office software.
Team oriented, self-motivated and possess Strong communications skills (written and oral)
Experience in mechanical and electrical repair of machinery preferred.
Comfortable presenting to engineers, plant operations, etc.
Able to travel up to 40%.
Display an understanding of the process operation of Aqua-Aerobic Systems’ equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Usual office working conditions with moderate noise such as computers and printers, telephones and copy machines.
Intermittent travel on an as needed basis to support projects in various locations.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of mechanical and / or electrical experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Knowledgeable of wastewater treatment processes especially biological and filtration
Experience working with plans and specifications
Experience working with independent sales representative organizations, customers and consulting engineers.
