ABOUT THE JOB
The Housekeeping Inspector is responsible for examining guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness and maintenance issues. Our Housekeeping Inspectors are our service role models and resolves guest complaints ensuring the company mission statement and values are followed, always looking out for the best interests of the Company, it's employees and customers.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Greet guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner
- Develop and maintain a high standard of excellence within the staff by being an effective communicator to other team members
- Strong time management skills
- Thoroughly inspect guest rooms to ensure cleanliness standards are met
- Report unit maintenance issues as per Company procedure
- Update appropriate team members of the status of each guest room
- Assist in training and development of staff, both existing and new
- Aid in budget control through monitoring use of linen, supplies, and equipment
- Perform Inventory count as directed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area such as storage closets, and office space area. Our office MUST always represent housekeeping. Therefore, it must represent clean every time.
- Promptly resolve any guest complaints or issues and complete them in a timely manner
- Reports and /or ensure of any unsafe work condition to the manager
- Properly records, stores, and disposes of all lost and found articles (items left in guestrooms)
ABOUT YOU
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of Housekeeping Inspector or related experience
Physical Requirements
- Standing & walking for long periods of time
- Climbing stairs frequently
- Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, and reaching
- Regularly lift up to 25 lbs.
Environmental Conditions
- Odors or dust
- Cleaning chemicals
- Laundry chemicals
- Outside Weather Elements
