Service Writer/Advisor

We are seeking a Service Writer/Advisor to join our team! In short, you will assist the service manager in the day to day tasks of the department, have direct correspondence with our customers and advise them on the maintenance needed on their boats.

Responsibilities:

• Greeting and consulting with customers about ongoing maintenance needs and OEM requirements
• Consulting with technicians about needed repairs and upselling to customers
• Answering customer questions about service outcomes and consulting with technicians when necessary
• Informing customers about potential cost savings and warranty protections
• Assisting customer with deciding to fix their boat through the dealership’s service department or trading in options directing them to the sales floor
• Overseeing and managing the service department's scheduling and workflow
• Informing customers of changes in service or when their boat is ready to be picked up
• Handling AR from customers and AP to vendors
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Qualifications:
• Previous experience in marine service applications is preferred but not a necessity depending on candidate, personality and work ethic
• Familiarity with boats, general mechanical tools and equipment
• Customer service oriented, not quick to frustration, able to handle objections professionally, and a overall friendly person to converse with
• Microsoft Office proficient, professional with grammar correspondence, and able to manage workflow well in a digital landscape
• Mentally driven and customer service minded

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
