Aqua Systems of Alabama is a 25-year-old local company and the leading provider of residential water filtration systems in Alabama. We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to join our accounting team. This position will initially focus on accounts receivable, customer onboarding, and payment processing. Over time, it will expand into a more robust accounting role, including payroll and other financial responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Initial Responsibilities:
- Manage Accounts Receivable – Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer payments and account balances.
- Onboard New Customers – Set up new customer accounts, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
- Transition Customers from Third-Party Financing to In-House Billing – Work with customers to guide them through the transition process smoothly.
- Process and Reconcile Payments – Apply payments, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records.
Future Responsibilities:
- Assist with Payroll Processing – Support and eventually take over all payroll functions as part of the evolving role.
- Expand into Additional Accounting Duties – Take on broader accounting responsibilities over time.
What We’re Looking For
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Experience with accounting and customer service (Accounts Receivable preferred).
- Comfortable working with multiple software programs, including ServiceTitan, QuickBooks Online, ADP Payroll, or similar systems.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone, with a polite and professional demeanor.
- Patient and customer-focused, with the ability to handle inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
