The Senior Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and assist with the creation and editing of financial documents and other bookkeeping tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing process
- Create and maintain spreadsheets in Excel
- Perform capital expense reconciliations and payments
- Perform journal entries
- Perform reconciliations of inventory, bank statements, and financial accounts
- Assist with accounts receivable collections
- Accumulate profit and loss report information
- Back up other key members of the Accounting department (cross trained to various roles in department)
- Track and invoice miscellaneous sales
- Perform other special projects as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a poultry or food processing environment
- Experience using MS Dynamics GP and/or Power BI a plus
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
