What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Engineer position at Aquapharm PChem, LLC.?
The Plant Engineer will provide technical expertise on a range of cross-functional projects, including process design, development, implementation and improvement, and maintaining equipment in a qualified state working closely with Maintenance. The position will report to the EVP of Operations and will be on-site in Latexo, Texas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for executing engineering activities to design, develop and implement new and improved processes.
- Conduct tests to evaluate the efficiency of new and existing processes and summarize results into technical reports.
- Troubleshoot problems with processes and implement changes as required.
- Schedule and coordinate projects to align with deadlines and budgets.
- Lead the Process Safety Management (PSM) Program along with the Safety Office, Process Improvement Manager and VP of Operations.
- Set internal audit cycles to review internal compliance and updates to MOCs.
- Along with the Maintenance Supervisor, document and follow up on the execution of maintenance plans that are economical and efficient.
- Develop a Preventative Maintenance Plan and analyze the costs of it to set up maintenance strategy.
- Participate in projects for plant expansion, increased capacity, equipment renovation, etc.
- Develop scope of work, prepare engineering proposals and cost estimates for management and board approval.
- In conjunction with the Safety Officer, conduct Root Cause Analysis to determine and eliminate root causes and document events.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste and increase overall efficiencies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering from four-year college or university.
- Must possess ≥ 5 years Engineering experience
- CAD Experience is Preferred
- Working knowledge of Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, sitting, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
