What are the responsibilities and job description for the MARKETING SPECIALIST position at Aquarius (Laughlin, NV)?
Summary:
Coordinates and orders advertising signage through the creative department. Maintains Edgewater and Aquarius property signage as well as the Laughlin Event Center and Edge Pavilion. Tracks progress of all marketing projects and follows up as necessary to ensure their timely completion. Assists with events/promotions/entertainment including planning, set-up, and tear down.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Open and monitor creative jobs/requests for all collateral and media applications. Perform the proper follow-up for each job including proofing and tracking to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain monthly property signage and other collateral, including property signage location map.
- Serve as a marketing department representative. Be available to address questions or concerns regarding all marketing related topics.
- Monitor and maintain correct usage of Aquarius, Edgewater, Laughlin Event Center and Edge Pavilion branding and property specifications on all collateral and media applications.
- Assist with the planning of marketing events/promotions/entertainment and assists the property marketing teams with day-to-day functions as needed.
- Order marketing items through the purchasing system. Monitor and maintain marketing inventory.
- Ability to learn company specific computer programs including Signalive, Kiosk Management System, Workamajig, etc.
- Track process of promotions from conception to finish. Resolve any issues that may be delaying the promotion from being completed on time.
- Assist with execution of events/promotions/entertainment to include planning, set-up, and tear down.
- Ensure rules are complete, operationally sound and in compliance with gaming regulations for all promotions and events.
- Monitor companies’ websites and assist with executing changes/additions.
- Assist other areas with production and distribution of in-house flyers.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position.
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-4 years marketing or advertising experience preferred.
- Prior gaming or hospitality experience in the marketing department preferred.
- Thorough working knowledge of computer systems and Microsoft Office programs required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent customer services skills (internal or external).
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
- At least 21 Years of Age
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Verify right to work in the United States
