Accounts Payable Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices for Cardone Ventures and other business entities under management. Their duties include following the verification process for invoices and other accounting-related documents, processing outgoing payments, recording accounts payable-related data, etc

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

• Review invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Accurately process payments by utilizing our accounting software system(s)
• Enforce company policy while processing employee reimbursements through expense reporting system
• Maintain and edit accounts payable files
• Prepare & analyze accounts payable reports, including aging and cash flow projections
• Prepare month end accrual entries and review, classify & post credit card charges
• Request W9s for all new vendors
• Accurately enter invoice transactions into our accounting ERP system.
• Process payments for our vendors and clientele
• Uncover accounts payable-related discrepancies and report them
• Approve Expense Reports accurately and in a timely manner

KEY COMPETENCIES

• Ability to manage a high volume of invoices and entering them into NetSuite
• Understanding of how to manage expense reports
• Ability to manage a high volume AP inbox and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
• Knowledge of Aging and cash flow reports
• Ability to follow a month end close checklist accurately and efficiently
• Ability to hold team members accountable to submitting expense reports
• Understanding of how to identify AP discrepancies

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, and/or combination of education and work experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience as clerk
• CAPP or CAPA Certification (Preferred)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Requires ability to occasionally lift up to 25lbs

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
