HVAC Purchasing Manager- Temporary

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Purchasing Manager with HVAC specific experience to oversee our procurement operations for a temporary position that has the potential to become a permanent role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing vendor relationships and ensuring the timely acquisition of materials necessary for contracted jobs. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of supply chain management along with an experienced background in HVAC.

Duties

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of materials.
• Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.
• Oversee the procurement process from requisition through delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, finance, and quality assurance to optimize purchasing decisions.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data

Experience

• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement management in an HVAC setting
• Strong knowledge of vendor management practices and supplier relationship development.
• Familiarity with Quickbooks is a plus
• Ability to fabricate solutions that meet operational needs while adhering to budget constraints.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
