Paralegal

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of legal procedures, particularly in the area of family law. This role is essential in supporting attorneys with various tasks, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and compliant with legal standards.

Duties

• Assist in document review, ensuring accuracy and completeness of legal documents.
• Perform data entry tasks efficiently, maintaining up-to-date records within the firm’s systems.
• Interview clients and witnesses to gather pertinent information for cases.
• Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
• Organize case files and maintain an efficient filing system for easy retrieval of information.
• Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for trials, hearings, and meetings by organizing exhibits and evidence.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a legal environment.
• Strong knowledge of patent law is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in conducting legal research and utilizing databases like Lexis-Nexis.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy in document preparation and data entry.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Familiarity with interviewing techniques to gather necessary information from clients.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
