What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Manager position at ARA Brand?
ARA‘s ISR division is looking to hire a Logistics Manager. As the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for all logistics planning and execution in support of DTRA training events and exercises.
Logistics Manager Responsibilities:
- Tracks the location and status of all equipment to ensure required equipment is ready and available to support events as needed.
- Ensures that all government property is properly maintained and serviced as needed. Conducts a 20% monthly inventory and semiannually provides Property Accountability Report. Identifies maintenance requirements for all government-furnished and contractor-acquired property and coordinates repair or disposition with the PM/COR.
- Assists leadership with maintaining property accountability using the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS). Coordinates equipment transfers through the department’s logistics section.
- Oversee the movement, distribution and storage of materials and equipment in support of DoD CBRN and CWMD training events and exercises.
- Manage warehouse operations and personnel to ensure warehouse efficiency and safety standards are met.
- Accountable for the completion of warehouse objectives in a timely manner.
- Ensures compliance with all inventory policies and procedures in support of warehouse operations and safety.
- Manage supply chain transactions to ensure equipment is on hand to meet training requirements.
- Monitors and maintains positive control of inventory to include analyses of requirements to assist in the development of strategies and accomplish desired delivery times and order fill rates.
- Manage a computer-based property management system to track inventory, shipping, receiving, maintenance, and accountability.
- Present monthly reports to leadership on logistics activity to include retrieving historical data from previous events, the next month action step, objectives, and risk identification.
- Provide a semiannual property accountability report to government Program Manager and COR.
- Coordinate supply chain initiatives and actions in order to manage program costs.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate logistical operations for both CONUS and OCONUS event support.
- Coordinate (de-conflict) within DoD on entire Agency support while maintaining training / exercise integrity.
- Attend select exercise JELC events (planning meeting, site surveys, etc.) and assist with scenario development.
- Collect and compile data into comprehensive yet concise reports for review by USSOCOM, GCC, TSOC, interagency, and partner nation clients.

Logistics Manager Required Qualifications:
- US citizen with a minimum of a Secret Clearance to start. Must be able to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience OR 16 years of relevant military experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Emphasis in project management, logistics management, or warehouse management or similar disciplines will be given higher consideration.
- Must be able to obtain a US Passport
- HAZMAT shipping qualified (AMMO-62 Technical Transportation of HAZMAT course) or capable of qualifying within 6 months is highly desired.
- Experience with US Air Force and US Transportation Command movement and transportation requirements.
- Work in an office and field environment
- Possess effective oral and written communication skills, and proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite of tools. Emphasis placed on PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Visio.
- Shall be able to travel worldwide on short notice and work non-standard hours. This includes obtaining the required immunizations.
- Shall be able to perform duties in all weather and climate conditions and be capable of carrying loads of up to 60 pounds over uneven terrain.
- Shall be capable of flying in utility helicopters for extended periods of time and be available for expeditious foreign travel for extended periods of time.
Logistics Manager Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Top-Secret Clearance
- Prior Department of Defense environment experience preferred in resource allocation, supply chain principles, and budget management and development is highly desired.
