Housekeeping Supervisor
Arabella Health and Wellness of Fairhope is seeking an experienced, dedicated, reliable, Environmental Services Director to oversee the care and cleaning of our healthcare facility.
Responsibilities include: Controlling the quality and timeliness of all housekeeping and laundry work; hiring, training, and supervising all housekeeping and laundry personnel, procuring supplies, chemicals, and equipment, assisting with budget preparation, and operating within budgetary guidelines.
- Supervise the performance of all environmental services staff
- Select, train, evaluate and discipline all housekeeping, and laundry staff
- Keep required records, reports, studies
- Inspects all housekeeping and laundry equipment regularly for proper functioning and safety
- Coordinates department functions with those of other departments, including setup for residents
- Operates the Department within budget guidelines
- Implements and monitors the safety program of the department and all infection control policies and procedures
- Orders necessary supplies, chemicals, and equipment
- Complies with all federal, state, and local codes, laws, and regulations governing the Community and Oak Crest Health & Wellness
- Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned
This position may be required to work evenings and weekends, as needed. The Housekeeping Supervisor is part of our leadership team and included in our Manager on-call rotation. Competitive pay based on experience and benefits eligibility is included with this position.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma / GED required.
- Ability to communicate effectively and perform simple arithmetic
- Special courses in housekeeping or institutional management are desirable
- Prior housekeeping supervisory experience helpful but not necessary
